Day 3: We went to the other side — yup it’s Boradise.

Today, our day started out with one thing in mind – pupunta kami ng Puka Beach at aakat ng Mt. Luho. I’m excited to explore – there must be more.

After breakfast, I plan to post our Bora Day1 and Day 2 accounts but JJ and Elmer’s texting already… time to go. Just a quick shower and we’re off to the other side — but before that kumain muna kami sa Smokes.

I like this beach more than the other side – Puka beach does not have too many resort or hotels. It’s peaceful and beautiful indeed. After long beach walk, a nap and lots of pictures ng shell at corals we opt to ride tricycle to Mt. Luho. The road is paved and you will have a nice view.

To be continued again…this 2nd day I saw why Boracay is called Boradise – hehehe but the part away from the crowd. We had a great time!

Day 2: Boracay not yet Boradise in my eyes :D

Boracay still not a WOW for me until today. Powdery yung beach but so far I still like Pagudpod’s blue lagoon water.

Day 2, after a tiring first day, we opt to have a slow and restful 2nd day — for me. Jerry, my husband have a wedding rehearsal to go to. Our inn’s inclusive of free breaksfast, I recommend staying here if you don’t mind walking around 2 minutes to the beach – station 1.

Our hotel’s a 10 room hotel called Milflores de Boracay it’s cozy and service’ personal – will do a seperate post for our hotel room :D.

We had cornbeef, egg and friend rice. Coffee and Dalandan juice for drinks and mango for dessert

We’re attending a wedding this 4PM and my husband will sing along with some friends for the ceremony and reception. While he rehearse with the band, I stayed in our room πŸ˜€ sarap! a time alone with books, TV and practicing focus for picture taking. Wedding’s gonna happen at Waling Waling – around 10 minutes walk away from our hotel or 1 minute away if you take a tricycle.

We love their buffet food of – baked oyster, shrimp, grilled pusit, vegetable pasta and many more (di ako kumuha ng ibang food aside from sea food). After the our sea food dinner my husband said “Parang chicken na rin yung lasa ng hipon pag madami na” (yup his right). There’s beef and chicken – too. For dessert they have a ref cake, fresh fruits and freshly made crepe. Lahat yun gusto ko kunan ng picture..but I guess sa next wedding na lang.

There’s an after wedding party but we stayed upto 11PM only — we’re ready to go home and sleep after that. Big day tomorrow! Puka beach and Mt. Luho here we come…

Day 1: Boradise or just Bora? (Part 2)

Galing kaming puka beach and Mt. Pulog (will post pics on that tooΒ  and Mt. Luho) at gumastos lang kami ng 80Php each (5 kami) for transportation — nice!

We take a quick swip or lets say dip sa water, malamig πŸ˜€ and head back to our room to rest.. then we visite D’Mall. I read about D’Mall a lot, so here’s how it looks like. Madaming bilihan ng food and kung ano ano, parang tiange. Pero I recommend eating there and not buying stuff there. D’Talipapa is the place to be, kung bibili ka ng souveniers.

Day 1: Boradise or just Bora?

It’s my first time going to Boracay – famous powdery beach here in the Philippines. I live here for 27 years yet it’s my first time. It’s an hour plane ride, 1 hour bus ride (from Kalibo) and about 10 minutes motor boat ride. My husband and I experience no delay, we actually arrive 10 mins early via Cebu Pacific (11:45AM-12:25PM — suppose to be 12:45PM) and the inn we’re staying arrange for our transfer – it’s sweet! Transfer via Southwest Tours – they call your name among the crowd – give you sticker, make you stay in cool shade part of the terminal and their all in uniform. I recommend arranging transfer with them. Before we go here I experience sore throat with fever, I’m still feeling the sore throatΒ  but the fever’s gone – taking much rest in between walking and eating. My husband said it’s cost by lack of sleep plus too much excitement :D.

Enough of blabbering and let the photos begin: IN this corner… (grin).

My First Digicam for my birthday :D

I had a not so good day today and everything I want to say summarized by the word (if there’s such a word) OK.

Trium by Mitsubishi - my first mobile phone

I went home carrying that feeling, it’s not right nor it’s amusing but you keep holding on to it. Jerry tried to cheer me up, he cook dinner (frying) we ate. I knew I have a new gadget, he told me earlier today that he bought me a gift.

I told him everything that happened within my day — I was able to release it. After this, I smiled at him and give him a kiss. He gave me my gift and πŸ˜€ comes a big smile.

I feel the same feeling I have when I got my first phone: Trium — alam nyo ba na may telephone na ganito. Nadukot ‘to isang araw nung papasok ako sa school :D. I bought myself my first phone out of my own savings.

Anyway, back to my GIFT. I know about this gift because he ask me what I like but his the one who bought it (on his own) and decide what color to get. I realize, I like taking good pictures — not just pictures.

Here’s my new camera: Samsung PL55:

Some spare to share: Kris Allen @ McKinley Hill

Inside "Plaza" where we find good old KFC for a snack

Jerry and I watch Kris Allen last February 6 for FREE!!! Let me repeat that for FREE!!! It’s my first time to go inside McKinley Hill kahit lagi ko ‘tong nadadaanan via C5 or papuntang Bayani Road.

I saw plurk from a really nice guy – Ganns, his giving away free tickets. I think a good friend of his gave him some tickets and it happens that he has some spare to SHARE (sounds nice). I hurriedly answer it and yup! got some tickets.

It’s been a while since I watch a concert… :D. College pa ata ako nun.

My poor VGA picture hehehehe

It’s a GA (General Admission) ticket but the venue’s not bad and the sound system’s good. We went to McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio – Taguig earlier than 8:00PM to eat dinner and hopefully go inside the concert venue (it’s an open air venue). The venue remind us of college open field concerts at UPLB.

We saw some friends when we got there — waiting/excited to watch Kris Allen too.

Boyce Avenue and Jabbawockeez perform before Kris. Lead singer of Boyce Avenue looks like Shia LaBeouf (Sam sa Transformer) — thanks to Mark for sharing that insight. Jerry and I agree :D.

Jerry naman πŸ˜€

I like Jabbawockeez – galing nila, I believe they can dance anything. One of the songs they dance to is “Kiss the Girl” by Sebastian (from Ariel). Yup! Disney’s Ariel.

Boyce Avenue – their ok but I don’t think I’ll buy their album :P. Pero madaming kinikilig sa kanila.

After some Channel V: VJ’s spiel, freebies and games, finaly Kris Allen went out.

Magaling sya, there’s a hint of country to his style. He was able to engage the crowd more — unlike the first band. Two things I like about Kris Allen. 1. He thank everyone for coming out to watch him — constantly not just once. 2. His not greeting girls by kissing them, he shake their hands instead or give them hug when they ask.

He sang several songs di ka nabitin, he played the guitar and keyboards. Sabi ni Jerry magaling yung banda nya… actually magaling yung boses ng back up nya πŸ˜€

Jerry and Vanj at KFC

@KFC while waiting - medyo matagal

Last Sunday, I was able to chat and thank Ganns for the concert tickets (here’s his post concert thoughts ). I admire his goal and faith to believe for more (free tickets :D).

It’s a good break for last week. We enjoyed it.

My Unexpected Coffee Shop Date (plus more tales)

Today’s a busy day – like a bee.

I woke up by 7AM:

Morning rituals — 10 mins work out, take a bath, wake up my hubby (na ang gwapo gwapo), eat breakfast, change to working clothes and go!

Work: 10AM – 8pm (just today, I’m usually off by 6PM)

Work —Β  work, lunch, work…

Go home :8PM

Grocery- buy rice

I’m so tired and decided to wait for my husband at the nearby coffee shop.

Starbucks – buy coffee and sandwich and wait for my hubby. (woot! — I have a free cofee :D). We had a light snack coffee for me and strawberry shake for him (free — I gave Jerry my free drink).

coffee with cofee stain over "delly"

Be careful! coffee mug with cofee stain over "delly" πŸ˜›

My husband -- after his snack. Ok ba yung food? :))

Timely and relaxing coffee -- with someone you dearly love. mwa!

Something new today? I(We)Β  had a free drink from Starbucks and 2 stranger ask me where I work. So.. I’m wondering if it’s bacause of the “on the go” mineral makeup.

To end this day: Thank you Starbucks (Market! Maket!) for a free drink (I answer their survey — **hint be friendly to the barrista or casually chat with them when their trying to make a conversation). I thank God for this day.
